Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 ASPH MEGA O.I.S.
Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 ASPH MEGA O.I.S. (45mm Macro)is my most frequently used macro lens underwater, whilst I would use Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro (60mm Macro) on land, sometimes coupled with the DCR 250 for larger reproduction ratio. I choose to use the 45mm Macro mainly due to the compatibility of the Nauticam N85 MFT Macro Port 45(36135)with the Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 III EZ (compact lens). There is no vignetting at 14mm when the Macro Port 45 is used. That means I can just bring the Macro Port 45, and select either the 45mm Macro or compact lens based on dive sites and target species. The 45 Macro is also capable to deal with large subjects such as fish and crustaceans. Since I usually will carry binoculars and telephoto lens (to photograph birds and cetaceans from the boat or on land) together with my diving gears, it makes sense to reduce every gram in my luggage. This combo may be the second most portable set up apart from the legendary TG series. Share with you some of the pictures I took with the 45mm Macro lens.
